Boating, Canoeing, and Fishing

The Leipyöli farm is located along the scenic and lush Kiskonjoki River. From our shore, you can embark on a canoeing or boating trip to the unique Latokartanonkoski rapids or explore a nearby sea bay. The riverfront also offers excellent fishing opportunities.

Meet the Highland Cattle

On our farm, you can get up close to our majestic, gentle, and furry Highland cattle.

Berry and Mushroom Picking

The forests surrounding our farm provide a great environment for picking mushrooms and berries. During your forest excursion, take a break at a wilderness hut to enjoy your packed lunch or grill sausages over an open fire.

Swimming and Sauna

A refreshing and relaxing way to spend your day is to heat up the sauna and take a swim in the farm’s pond.

Close to our farm, you’ll find Meri-Teijo leisure center, Latokartano recreational area, and the diverse hiking trails of Teijo National Park. We also organize a variety of group activities in collaboration with local businesses.

Latokartanonkoski Rapids

Just a canoe trip away lies the culturally and historically significant Latokartanonkoski area, featuring the ruins of a mill built in 1805 and one of Southern Finland’s most spectacular rapids. The area is home to diverse flora and fauna, which can be easily explored via the trails that circle the rapids. You can also access Latokartanonkoski by car.

Teijo National Park

Just a 20-minute drive away, Teijo National Park offers over 50 km of marked hiking trails through varied landscapes, including sea, lake, and marshlands. During winter, if snow conditions allow, the area also has maintained cross-country ski trails.

Historic Ironworks Village, Brewery, and Artisan Shops

For those who appreciate craftsmanship and artisan products, the Mathildedal Ironworks Village is a perfect destination. You can enjoy freshly baked bread from the village bakery, locally brewed beers, and explore various artisan workshops and boutiques. The area also features restaurants, a theater, and numerous small events throughout the year.

Golf

Within a 30 km radius, you’ll find four golf courses, including Meri-Teijo Golf, Bjärkas Golf on Kimito Island, Salo Golf, and Wiurila Golf & Country Club. These courses are known for their long playing seasons and well-maintained fairways. After a round of golf, you can relax in the sauna at Leipyöli and recharge for your next game.

Skiing and Gravity Racing

For those who enjoy fast-paced activities, there is skiing in winter and gravity racing in summer. Meri-Teijo Ski features 10 snow-covered slopes, with the longest run measuring 640 meters. You can check the slope conditions and services on the Meri-Teijo Ski website. During the summer months, the area transforms into Meri-Teijo Action Park, offering thrilling activities such as gravity racing and paintball.

Evening Market and Other Events

Every Thursday in summer, thousands of people gather at Salon’s Evening Market, with an annual attendance of around 60,000 visitors. Here, you can listen to live performances by well-known artists, browse market stalls, and enjoy the lively atmosphere. In addition to the Evening Market, Salon and Raasepori host numerous interesting events throughout the year. Leipyöli is a great accommodation choice during these events.
